Annie May, MS, LPC, EMDR

You don’t have to carry this alone anymore.

I work with people who feel emotionally stuck, overwhelmed, or like they’ve been holding their breath for years. Whether you're healing from trauma, navigating relationship wounds, or carrying the invisible weight of burnout, therapy with me is a place to breathe again — safely and without judgment.

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor, EMDR-trained therapist, and the founder of Cope Counseling, LLC — a Colorado-based telehealth practice designed for people who feel “too much,” “not enough,” or utterly exhausted from trying to be everything to everyone.

I’m also a mother to a medically fragile child, and my journey through the NICU, specialists, medical trauma, and caregiving has deeply informed the way I show up for my clients. I understand what it means to feel isolated, unseen, and terrified — and I hold space for those experiences with compassion and steadiness.

As a woman of color, I also know the quiet strength it takes to navigate systems that weren’t built for us. My therapeutic lens honors intersectionality, lived experience, and cultural humility. You deserve a space that understands you fully — not just clinically, but personally.

My style is warm, grounding, and real. I use EMDR, nervous system work, and deep emotional attunement to help you reclaim the parts of yourself that got buried under survival mode. I believe you're not broken — you're carrying too much, too quietly, for too long.

If you’re ready to feel safe, supported, and seen again — let’s talk. Therapy can be your space to soften, reflect, and begin again.
